Razoo is an exciting and dynamic virtual space that brings together nonprofit organizations and donors to financially support important causes in their cities and around the world. As inspiration and knowledge converge, our site enables users to find, follow, and fund great organizations and their projects, empowering ordinary people to make a difference with their money. What does the word "Razoo" mean?

The word "Razoo" is a New Zealand term for a coin of small value. The name represents our belief that individual contributions, when combined effectively, can have a massive positive impact in the lives of others. We are here to help unlock that potential.

How is Razoo funded?

Razoo is backed by a philanthropic investor who is committed to revolutionizing the giving landscape by making it easy and virtually cost-free to fund and support important causes. Our foundation partners help cover the cost of the transaction fees that are charged by Network for Good, our processing partner, making the giving process absolutely free.

Which Organizations can be found on Razoo?

We feature the vast majority of nonprofits (over 1.6 million) that are registered 501(c)(3) organizations in the US. Unfortunately, at present, Razoo does not feature any nonprofits registered outside the US.

Where does the Organization information come from?

Our catalog data is provided through GuideStar, a trusted source of information on nonprofits. GuideStar collects this information from the IRS and other public documents.




Donating Through Razoo

Does it cost anything to make a donation through Razoo?

No, there are no fees associated with giving on Razoo, so all of your money goes directly to the charity! Our foundation partners help cover the cost of credit card processing, ensuring 100% of your donation goes to the charity.

Is my gift tax-deductible?

Yes. Your gift is tax-deductible within the guidelines of U.S. law. You will, however, need to retain your email donation receipt as a record (you can always retrieve it from your giving profile here on Razoo as well).

What information do I need for my taxes?

To claim a donation as a deduction on your U.S. taxes, you will need an official receipt for the donation. For donations made through Razoo, this receipt is issued by our partner, Network for Good. The receipt will be emailed to you once the donation is complete, or you can access it in your Personalized Giving section of our site.

How and when does my donation reach the Organization?

All donations that are made through Razoo are processed through Network for Good, a partner company. We batch all donations to a nonprofit into one payment per month, making it easier for a nonprofit to process.

Can I specify how the charity may use my donation?

Yes...to a degree. When you make a donation via Razoo, you may specify how you'd like your donation to be used by the charity by entering the information in the "Designation" field. We will pass along the request with your donation, but we can't go as far as guaranteeing that the charities will honor your request. If this is an issue for you, we encourage you to contact the charity directly to make sure they are able to allocate your money as you desire.

Do I need to have an account with Razoo to donate?

No, you are not required to become a member in order to donate funds. However, we do encourage donors to sign up with us so that they can enjoy all the features Razoo has to offer.

I didn't receive an email confirming my transaction. How do I know it was processed?

You may want to first check your email spam filters in case your email client thought it was spam. You may also contact the customer service team at our partner, Network for Good, who will be able to help troubleshoot this problem. They can be reached at 1-866-650-4636, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET.

Is there a minimum donation amount?

Yes. Your donation must be a minimum of $10 to be processed through Razoo.

How do I cancel a recurring donation?

You can cancel any recurring donation by clicking on the "My Account" tab, then clicking on "Donations." Then click on the grey button titled "Scheduled donations" and then press the "Cancel" button below the amount scheduled.

Click the "Sign Up" link at the top of any page to get started. You can also click "Connect with Facebook" to login to Razoo with your existing Facebook account.

You can view or edit your settings information under the "My Account" tab. Then click on "Settings," where you can change your account information.

Is my personal information safe?

Yes. We take privacy very seriously. In the course of a donation, your transaction information will be shared with Network for Good, which processes your donation, and with the nonprofit that receives your donation. However, we will never share your personal information, donation activity, or e-mail address with any other organization or individual without your express permission.

What is "Facebook Connect"?

Facebook Connect is an easy way for members of Facebook to join Razoo. Once you're connected, you can use your Facebook email and password to log in to Razoo. You can connect through Facebook even if you’ve already set up a Razoo account. For more information on this feature, you may want to check out this post by Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.

How do I use Facebook connect on Razoo?

Click on "Connect with Facebook," then let Facebook know that it's okay for Razoo to have limited access to your profile (to verify your identity when you come to the site). Sign into Facebook, click "Allow", and then tell us if you are a new user or if you would like to link to an existing Razoo account (if you did not already log in to Razoo).

How do I get my Organization listed on Razoo?

We have over 1.6 million U.S.-based nonprofit organizations in our catalog, so you may already have a profile on Razoo (click here to search for yours). If not, the first step is to get your organanization listed on Guidestar.org. Once your organization is listed, email us at np@razoo.com with your EIN number and we will establish a profile for your organization on Razoo.

Can my church or congregation receive donations through Razoo?

Most US-based churches and other religious institutions are eligible to receive donations through Razoo. Because the reporting requirements are a bit different for these organizations, there may be additional steps you need to take. We have a special page to explain the process

It is intended for users to view general information about the organization, and make a donation if he or she so desires. A fundraising page can be created by an user, and is a useful tool for highlighting particular projects or specialized fundraising. More specifically, it is a way for individuals to raise a targeted amount of money towards an organization or a cause they care about.

Can I edit the content of my Organization's page?

Yes, you can edit content by gaining administrative access to your organization's page. To gain access, click on the “Get Started” button from our Razoo for Nonprofits page: . Once you have administrative privileges, you will be able to edit text, upload a new photo, or add a video to your page.
