Why Your Donation Is So Important
Since 1975 Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hampshire County has been providing one-to-one mentoring relationships to local children in need of positive adult influence and friendship. These relationships change a child’s sense of his or her own self-worth and provide a renewed sense of possibilities and hope for the future. Each time Big Brothers Big Sisters pairs a child with a role model, we start something incredible: a one-to-one relationship built on trust and friendship that can blossom into a future of unlimited potential.
As wonderful as this is, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hampshire County still has approximately 180 children on the list, waiting for the opportunity to have a mentor. Many of these children will age out and never receive the mentor they are waiting for because of a lack of funding.
The program needs to raise enough money to sustain a staff of case managers who create and support the matches. Research has shown that the success of these relationships depends on strong support from the program staff. The number of children BBBS is able to serve is dependent upon the number of case managers the program can afford to hire.
Help Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hampshire County raise enough money to hire enough case managers, so we can match every single child on our waiting list. It only takes a little extra to make a BIG difference for our children and our community
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hampshire County is a program of the Center for Human Development. About Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hampshire County
Since 1975 Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hampshire County has been providing one-to-one mentoring relationships to local children in need of positive adult influence and friendship.

The program is committed to assisting young people in achieving their highest potential as they grow to become confident, competent, and caring individuals by providing committed volunteers, professional support and supervision of the matches, outreach to families and enrichment opportunities in their communities.
