We provide and support one-one mentoring relationships for children with volunteers in Franklin County and North Quabbin Region.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Franklin County is dedicated to helping children reach their highest potential through professionally supported one-to-one mentoring
relationships with volunteers.
The vision of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Franklin County is to provide successful mentoring relationships for all children who need and want them, contributing to brighter futures, better schools and stronger communities for all.
Big Brothers Big Sisters has several mentoring programs. The community based program matches carefully screened adults with children between the ages 6-14.
The matches spend a few hours a week or every other week doing the activities they enjoy the most. Our case management team provides matches with support, guidance, and monthly match activities to bring everyone together.
The other mentoring program available matches juniors from Deerfield Academy and Northfield Mount Hermon with children ages 6-10 from the community. The matches generally last 2 years until the "Big" graduates from school. The case management team screens potential Prep school students wishing to become mentors. Match meetings take place on Friday nights throughout the schoolyear, with BBBSFC staff on hand at every match meeting. The children enjoy the time with their "Bigs" and make lasting connections with mentors who imapct their lives.
