CDSS spreads joy and builds community through traditional dance, music and song!
Creativity, confidence, problem-solving and collaboration for kids in public schools!
Participating in dance, music and song “teaches children life skills such as developing an informed perception; articulating a vision; learning to solve problems and make decisions; building self-confidence and self-discipline; developing the ability to imagine what might be; and accepting responsibility to complete tasks from start to finish.” (Americans for the Arts, 2002)
We are raising money to help public school teachers use traditional dance, music and song as tools to boost creative, confidence, problem-solving and collaboration in their classrooms!
Your funding of $9,000 last year helped us jumpstart this project. This year, we want to raise $25,000 for more teacher resources.
