  • On the four days prior to Thanksgiving, our Center for Self-Reliance Food Pantries distributed 1.5 tons of food each day
  • Last year, Community Action's Free Tax Assistance Program helped 733 households obtain $1,277,805 in tax refunds!
  • Community Action's Asset Development staff offers financial education to those looking to manage their finances
  • Community Action offers WIC program educates new and expecting mothers about immunization, nutrition, & breastfeeding
  • Our Healthy Families staff provide regular in-home parent education & educational play for more than 132 families a year
  • Our Family Learning Center staff provide more than 30 hrs. of educational instruction per week to parents earning a GED.
  • We offer 10 playgroups per week to more than 600 families per year.
  • Each year, we meet more then 850 local families through playgroups, story hours, parent workshops, and more!
  • Our Family Center offers 28 parent education workshops and more than 15 parent support groups per year!
  • Our Family Support Programs strengthen young minds by encouraging educational play and school-readiness

With over 40 diverse programs and a staff 400 employees strong, Community Action offers a network of support to empower more than 30,000 of our neighbors in need. From addressing basic needs like food and fuel assistance, to spearheading programs that help local parents earn their GED and budget for financial success, our programs prove to strengthen our community with each success story.
