Safe Passage is the Hampshire County organization addressing domestic violence - building safety, justice and hope for women and families.
Safe Passage is about hope – for women and their children who are dealing with the impact of domestic violence, and for a community that is motivated to create a safer community together.
We are Hampshire County’s leader in working against domestic violence. We address the impacts of violence and we work to prevent violence before it starts.
Our shelter, counseling, and advocacy programs address the needs of survivors of domestic violence. These programs bring critical safety, healing, and justice to women, children and families.
Our recently launched prevention program, SAY SOMETHING, provides community members with a new opportunity to prevent domestic violence. People will learn about the issues and will build skills to know when and how to act. Together, we'll make change toward ending domestic violence.
SAY SOMETHING is designed for all of us who want to make a difference, and creates an opportunity for everyone to get involved in the prevention of domestic violence.
We rely on the generosity of community donors to operate our programs and to launch into new and necessary areas. Our government support covers only 40% of our expenses. The remainder must be raised every year. You can join the growing number of people supporting our work - people building safety, hope, healing and justice, and people working together to create real change: an end to domestic violence.
