The Springfield Boys & Girls Club provides 1,500 inner city youth: An array of after school and summer recreational and educational programs

You Can And Do Make The Difference!

The Springfield Boys and Girls Club serves 1,500 Inner city youth ages of 6-18 annually. Of those youth served 1/3 live at or below the state poverty level with most all the rest living below medium income household levels for family size. Youth that come to the Club are 45% Hispanic, 40% African American, 14% Caucasian, and 1% Asian.

For many of our youth, the Springfield Boys and Girls Club is their “Home Away From Home.” “A place that is safe and welcoming.” For many of our youth this is a place where they receive positive direction, keeping them on the path of becoming good citizens and leaders.

Under the guidance and supervision of Youth Development Professionals youth that come to the Club can participate in a variety of programs inclusive of: Character & Leadership, Education & Career, Health & Life Skills, Arts, Music, Sports, Fitness & Recreation.

The Springfield Boys and Girls Club provide both an accessible environment for our inner city youth to come to and participate in programming year round. The Club is affordable and for those youth unable to pay they will never be turned away.

The Springfield Boys and Girls Club is proud of the fact that during these challenging economic times, the Club remains open during the academic Year: Tuesday – Friday 3:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. Saturdays from 9:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. and during the summer: Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m. These hours of operation are critical for our youth to have in order to access programs that are vital to the emotional, physical and educational well-being of those inner city youth that need our programs the most!

We Can’t Do It Alone!

Your support of the Springfield Boys and Girls Club will allow us to keep our doors open and the lights on during the critical after school and summer hours! These are the hours where inner city youth, without direction, can be swallowed up in dangerous and negative street activity.

Our inner city youth need a Positive Place to go where they can be safe, learn and grow.

Please join us in supporting the youth of our future!

Thank You! You Can And Do Make The Difference!
