For the 500 youth who call this their second home, the Boys & Girls Club Family Center represents a safe haven - a place where they make new friends, uncover hidden talents and learn the skills they need to become productive, caring and responsible citizens.

Since Adryen D. (age 11) started coming to the club after school several years ago, his outlook on life has changed. He's hopeful about his future, and excited about what it holds for him. His self-esteem has risen dramatically, empowering him to tackle all of life's challenges. A proud straight-A student, Adryen excels when he is able to be creative. Whether it's through music, art, theater or writing, Adryen has found his niche at the club.

Niasia T., age 16, has also utilized the club to help her find her place in this world.

She says it's "a place where you are encouraged to define and reach your potential, and where you don't have to be anybody but yourself. Not every home or family is perfect, but the club stresses that we need to love and live strongly, with both your mind and your heart. To me, the club represents strength, and for everyone who comes here, they gain that strength to overcome any obstacles. The Boys & Girls Club Family Center is not just a place where you define a whole other side of yourself. It's a place many of us call home."

To ensure that the club continues to grow and serve even more youth, it needs your help. Each child who walks through our front doors is given a world of opportunity. From homework help to mentoring, dance to martial arts, swimming to basketball, art instruction to leadership and character development, the club works to ensure that every child, no matter what their skills or interests, has the chance to succeed.
