Keeping the Arts alive in Springfield, while serving as a catalyst for economic growth & assisting other local nonprofits with our resources

Springfield Performing Arts Development Corporation, doing business as CityStage & Symphony Hall.

As with all non-profit theatre organizations, ticket sales alone do not cover the expense of bringing live professional performances and shows to Downtown Springfield. A large part of our mission is to keep our ticket prices as low as possible to ensure access to as many of our neighbors as possible. It is because of donors like you that everyone's lives can be enhanced from the exposure to the arts many of us take for granted.

At CityStage & Symphony Hall, we operate with a very small staff that host over 200 events a year. We all wear many hats, and work hard day in and day out to be fiscally responsible with every dollar donated to our mission.

Did you know an investment in the arts is a good investment for your whole community? Thanks to our patrons who attend our over 200 events a year, more than $4,600,000 is pumped back in to the Greater Springfield ecomony every year! Throughout the season, we also open up our theatre lobby to local businesses, big and small, to interact directly with our audience members, and our corporate sponsors have access to our lounge to host events for their clients and customers. Being an economic stimulus to this region is very important to CityStage & Symphony Hall and we need your help to ensure these opportunities for financial growth and stability can continue in Downtown Springfield.

One of the greatest benefits afforded to CityStage & Symphony Hall through your support is our ability to offer these beautiful and functional performance spaces to local non-profits to help them achieve their goals and mission. We offer discounted rates for meetings, performances, fundraisers, and other special events like graduation ceremonies and public speaking forums.

Individual donors committed to keeping Western Massachusetts and Springfield a thriving, vibrant, and exciting place to live, work, and play are critical to our mission at the Springfield Performing Arts Development Corporation, and we thank you for your on-going support!
