The mission of The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts is to work with our community to reduce hunger and increase food security.

The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts has been fighting hunger in the Pioneer Valley for over 30 years. But we need your help.

In Western Massachusetts alone, there are over 135,000 individuals struggling with food insecurity—and that number is on the rise. To make matters worse, benefits from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) were significantly cut on November 1, leaving people with less money to feed their families. This will result in an increased need for food assistance from our network of food pantries and emergency meal sites, which are already stretched to meet the needs of the community.

The Food Bank is working at full capacity to distribute food to over 300 of our member agencies—including food pantries, emergency shelters and schools—which are providing healthy meals to people across our region. In addition, our special programs, including Brown Bag for Elders and our new Mobile Food Bank, have provided thousands of meals to individuals throughout Hampshire, Hampden, Franklin, and Berkshire counties over the past year.

Your Valley Gives donations will allow us continue to provide nutritious food to our family, friends, and neighbors in the community who are effected by hunger. It will take all of us, working together, to put an end to hunger. With your help, we can make that happen.
