The Center for EcoTechnology helps people and businesses in Massachusetts save energy and reduce waste.

We make green make sense.

CET's staff and team of EcoFellows—young, passionate environmental professionals—fan out across Pioneer Valley to bring information on energy efficiency, recycling, composting, and renewable energy opportunities to residents and businesses.

We work with dozens of partners to encourage people to take action – for example, helping residents insulate their homes or helping businesses send food waste to a compost facility. You can learn more in this video.

But to reach our goals, we need to connect with alot more people. This is where you come in! One of our donors has already agreed to match up to $2,500 in donations to CET’s Valley Gives campaign, so every dollar that you give goes twice as far!

What you'll get:

  • $50-$99 - 2 LED bulbs from CET's EcoBuilding Bargains (New England's largest used and surplus building materials store) in Springfield and a handwritten thank you note from one of our EcoFellows!
  • $100-$499 - A kitchen compost bucket filled with LED bulbs!
  • $500-$999 - A private, EcoFellow-led tour of EcoBuilding Bargains and a $50 store credit to EcoBuilding Bargains!
  • $1000+ - A private, EcoFellow-led tour of EcoBuilding Bargains, a $50 store credit, and lunch with the EcoFellows!

Why your donation on Valley Gives Day is so important:

  • $50 supports a clean energy presentation in a local community.
  • $100 funds a hands-on home composting workshop.
  • $250 enables us to directly connect 20 homeowners with the expertise and resources they need to make their homes energy efficient.
  • $1,000 helps fund one awesome EcoFellow for a month. With your help, they’ll be able to educate many more people at events around the Valley.

Your contribution helps make our community a better place to live and work. Thank you!

About Us

The Center for EcoTechnology helps people and businesses in Massachusetts save energy and reduce waste. For more than 35 years, we’ve offered proven advice and resources to save you money, make you more comfortable at home, and help your business perform better. In that time, you and our hundreds of partners have helped make Western Massachusetts a greener, healthier place to live and work.

Our “Go Green” Goal

Over the next three years, we will help 80,000 people take green actions to reduce their environmental impact in homes and businesses. Together we will reduce our carbon emissions equal to taking 40,000 homes off the grid for one year, a huge environmental benefit to our region. These actions will also save $100,000,000 in energy and waste costs over their lifetime.
