The Meditation Garden was designed and installed as an Eagle Scout project by a South Hadley Troop 303 teen

The pergola provides an outdoor performance area for public programs and is also great for birdwatching

This is the library site in 2012, the Town of South Hadley redeveloped this vacant industrial site for the new library

Help support the new South Hadley Public Library as we encourage literacy, lifelong learning, and community engagement within our town.

Eight years in the making, the new South Hadley Public Library held a Grand Opening on September 13 this year.

Within the first three months we have seen use of library grow exponentially:

  • New library cards issued: 383 (+225% over same period last year)
  • Circulation of materials: 42,954 items checked out at front desk (+18% over same period last year)
  • Meeting Room Use: 117 meetings and events (approx. 160% increase)
  • Based on average retail prices, library patrons have borrowed $688,289.94 worth of materials since the new library opened.
